New Directions

So it's come to this... an opportunity, a chance, a choice.

I've archived a lot of my old content, scrapped ideas, and made a decision -- it is time to pivot.

Why do I need to pivot? Because it's required. To get where I need / want to be, something needs to change.

If I am who I say / think I am, you have nothing to worry about.

Going to #ASW18

This year, I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to fly to Vegas and finally see what Affiliate Summit West was all about.

And I gotta say, I had one helluva time. And it was pretty much exactly like the movies.

Exploring the Strip, hitting the conference floor, networking and meeting the people I work with for the first time ever -- it was pretty fucking awesome.

Theories and Biases

I love learning about people think. Understanding how the human brain processes information and make decisions is key to understanding how the world works.

Psychologists, economists and other eggheads (not actually, these people are more am smart than me) have come up with really interesting ways to describe these near incomprehensible subjects. This post is a huge collection of different theories and biases that lurk beneath the surface of our personal relationships, interconnected economy and world history.

Making Stuff

Do you remember when you were a kid and someone asked you;

“What do you want to be when you grow up?”

Do you remember what your answer was?

I do. For the longest time, I wanted to be a famous filmmaker (big shocker, I know). As I grew older (and realized life really isn’t that simple), I altered course and it eventually led me to marketing, product management and, of course, entrepreneurship.

Even still, it hasn’t left me with any clear direction or path.

And you know what? I’m okay with that.

Over the past little while, I have been struggling to define myself, my role and my future. What am I going to do? How am I going to do it? And most importantly, who the fuck am I?

Going to #INBOUND16

Sometimes I gotta pinch myself. The amazing company I work for sent me to Boston to attend #INBOUND16, Hubspot's annual inbound marketing conference.

You probably don't know how big of a deal this actually is. I've been watching keynotes from Inbound on YouTube for the past three years. The idea of ever actually attending the conference almost never crossed my mind.

And I got to go this year. All of it was paid for by work. And I am so grateful to my work for giving me the opportunity to travel and learn with over 18,000 marketers. It was an experience I will never forget.

Creating a Podcast with Squarespace

I love podcasts. And if you've listened to pretty much any mainstream podcast, you've probably heard an ad for Squarespace on your favourite show. In addition to sponsoring tons of podcasts, Squarespace has also added podcasting seamlessly into it's website builder.

There's something cool about the fact that someone could listen to a podcast, hear a Squarespace ad, be inspired to start a podcast of their own, and then use Squarespace to host and manage their new creative endeavour.

I also plan on using Squarespace for my own audio projects! So I thought I'd create a little tutorial video showing you how to create a podcast using Squarespace. If you've been itching to launch your own show, Squarespace is a fantastic platform to do it on.

Obligatory "Hello, World!"

Well.. here it is. My brand-spanking-new Squarespace site. I've been looking forward to getting this up for a long time now and now that I've begun the process of creating the site; I'm feeling more excited than ever.

Since the creation of my first online course, I have definitely been putting off the creation of this site but for good reason. On March 10th, 2016, I married my best friend in the world and I feel more full of life than ever. I feel ready and prepared to take on the world in a way that I ever thought I could.

Check back soon for more content.
